Kierra completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2006 at the University of Alberta. Since that time, she has gained a range of experience across many practice areas including home care, sub-acute care, long-term care, palliative care and out patient programs. Kierra has also worked on a clinical access team assisting clients with complex co-morbidities. She has extensive training in many fields of rehabilitation including Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP), motivational interviewing, concussion management, and brain injury. Further, her experience includes knowledge of accessibility and adaptive aids, mobility devices, and home safety equipment.
For the past four years, Kierra has applied her skills in the area of work/occupational rehabilitation and work place wellness. Kierra has most recently developed an injury prevention program for a large utility company in Alberta and conducted industrial ergonomic assessments and interventions. Her skills allow her to provide comprehensive assessments and treatments both at home or at the work site. Kierra's expertise includes facilitating successful return to work and return to activities of daily living.
Other areas of interest include mindfulness, meditation and yoga therapy.
